Holistic consulting for board level change

The brief

To improve the quality of the relationships between Kable’s five board members in order to break down barriers and to make critical business decisions. This would ultimately help the company move forward to increase profit and achieve its desired culture.

The solution

Wizard David Bamber (Gestalt trained Consultant and Symbolic Modelling expert) interviewed each board member to understand how they perceived the current situation, inter-personal issues at board level and possible reasons for this.

The board members decided to give 100% buy-in to a two-day workshop to get them to work better as a team and deal with the issues.

It was an intense and very emotional experience. Each member unpacked their baggage, assumptions and preconceptions and brought up things previously left unsaid. The result was a releasing of long-held emotions and feelings - catharsis.

Moving forwards

Following the two-day workshop, David offered coaching to support individual board members as they embarked on the change journey. He also worked with the new chairperson to help ensure board meetings were more productive.
