Wizard Jane Sheehan, Foot Reader and author of “Let’s Read Our Feet”, takes a look at the right foot of Sweden-based Niki Adams

Niki, you are a multi-tasker. You’re thinking 20 things at once and putting 10 into action now!
You are very hard working, always on the go. You find it hard to sit still. You have to be doing something all the time. If we were to offer you a drink, you’d already be getting the cups out of the cupboard. You can’t just sit there and let us do it!
You think very visually and you have a tendency to escape reality by going off into your head! You’re expressive and good with words. You’ve had a bit of an emotional upset. You’re thinking about what you want in life and trying to examine how you’re going to move forward and take the next steps. Your feelings around your sense of security are worrying you.
You’ve got a great sense of intuition. You have the ability to read between the lines.
In terms of how you fit into society - you are unconventional, rebellious even. You don’t really care what society says and you don’t like rules. You’ve learned to live life on your own terms and to your own rules. You have a great sense of adventure. You hate it when things get routine. Then you are at your most destructive. You’ll deliberately upset the apple cart to see what is going to happen.
Right now you’ve got a lot of responsibility weighing heavily on your shoulders. The hard skin there is showing you that you are trying to protect yourself in terms of responsibilities and in terms of your feelings about how you want to move forward.

You are very sociable. I can’t see much of an arch in these photographs, which indicates that you want to spend time in a group rather than too much time on your own. This is your way of re-energising yourself.
I’m a little bit worried that you’re not eating properly. The digestive area looks like it could be better!
No subject is taboo with you. We can talk to you about anything.
You’re having delayed reactions. At the moment, your logic is kicking in straight away but your emotions are taking a lot longer to kick in. You find yourself agreeing to things because your logic tells you it’s OK, but then you wake up the next day when your emotions have caught up and think “Oh no! Why did I agree to that? I wish I’d said this!” This is indicated by the big gap between big toe and 2nd toe. Whilst you have this gap (it can get smaller or larger) then buy yourself time.
Don’t give reactions straight away. Delay your response until you’ve had time to sleep on it or at least to await your emotional response.
I get a sense that you have strong natural leadership qualities (and if you’re not in a leadership role then you can become quite bossy!).
Niki - you only sent me pictures of your right foot (which represents the past, or male influences) so I wasn’t able to check the past versus the present. However, I think you’ll find this is quite a thorough analysis of your personality. The thing I liked the most about your feet is that you are a pretty well-balanced person. You have a young outlook, not many issues.

Foot readings can elicit information similar to that of more traditionally used psychometric profiling tools like MBTI or Belbin.
This means that foot reading can be a refreshingly different way of helping an individual identify one’s own type’ (strengths and weaknesses in light of your role) and a team its collective ’profile’ (identifying the areas of strength or weakness in dealing with the overall responsibilities of the team). Here are some examples of ways in which businesses have tapped into foot reading:
At the end of last year, Jane was invited to do a spot of foot reading at the HBOS (Halifax Bank of Scotland) Christmas Party at The Jam House in Edinburgh. She ran small, taster foot readings of about 10 minutes each just highlighting the main features their feet revealed. As well as its capacity to spark conversation in general terms, a session with Jane can help to highlight learning in the areas of diversity and conflict resolution.
In 2006, Jane was invited to Dubai to teach foot reading to 14 to 21 year old women as a tool for personal development and growth as part of the Complete Woman Program sponsored by The Dubai Ladies Club. The women gained insight of how to read their own personality from their feet and how to use their feet as a measure in setting and achieving personal goals.
She also taught them how to look at other people’s feet in order to understand their strengths. This helped promote understanding of differences not being “right” or “wrong” and taught the group how to work with other people’s characters rather than against them.
A major cosmetics firm hired Jane to read the journalists’ feet at the launch of their new product range. It helped encourage journalist attendance and offered an unusual angle from which they could write.
“The best thing about foot reading is that people love learning about themselves and it’s very engaging, interesting and intriguing.”

“I had never heard of foot reading prior to reading the last e-newsletter. I was therefore quite interested to see what it would involve. The reading was fascinating and extremely insightful. It’s amazing how much she can tell just from reading a right foot. It seems I wear my heart on my foot! In the future I will keep them well covered, except of course when I come back for another reading from Jane.”
